The hosts were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. They even swapped out the kitchen knives when we mentioned they were dull. The cottage was the perfect size for us and had a beautiful view from the lounge. There were plenty of great pubs and restaurants nearby and it was a short drive to Helmsley for shopping. The cottage was comfortable, clean, and had modern decor. We appreciated the attention to detail and the outdoor toys provided for our little one. The location was peaceful and rural, with stunning scenery and easy access to attractions like York, Harrogate, and Scarborough. we had a fantastic time and would definitely return. The wifi was reliable, there was ample free parking, and the outdoor dining area was a nice touch. The cottage even had cots available, which was convenient. It was also great that no pets were allowed and there was no smoking on-site. We can't wait to visit again soon!

The bathroom was clean and had a powerful shower. It felt refreshing after a long day of hiking. As a backpacker, it was all I needed to feel rejuvenated.

That there was only one bathroom. It's just my opinion, others might not mind.

The bathroom with a shower was a great feature for me. It made it easier for me to get ready in the mornings. I really liked the convenience of having everything in one place.

It served as an ideal base for exploring both on foot and by car, with fantastic walks and nearby attractions like York, Harrogate, and Scarborough easily accessible. The hosts, Dave and Helen, were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing excellent recommendations for places to eat, walks, and even taxis. We can't wait to come back in the near future to this little piece of paradise.
